Growing up in Texas I can remember playing hoops in the driveway in the 60 degree temperatures on Christmas Day. That's a far cry from the snow, ice and frigid temperatures I now live with in Michigan. But, I've grown used to it now look forward to the chance to see things so many others down south never experience. The ice shelf along Lake Michigan has already begun forming and it's only the middle of December so I know that we are in for a long winter.
