Jacob Balyeat, from Angola, IN, slogs through a mud trap during the 2012 Dirty Bird Mud Run, Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, Mich. Almost 200 racers competed in three-person teams during the 8K race that combined military style obstacles, hilly terrain and mud pits. Net proceeds from the event funds scholarships for military veteran students at SMC.
